ICAR Stands for Indian Council of Agricultural Research

ICAR stands for Indian Council of Agriculture Research.
It is considered as an autonomous body which is responsible for reinforcing agricultural education as well research related to agriculture in India.
The headquarters of ICAR is located in Delhi, India.
In 1929, it was founded with the main motive to reinforce the research related to Agriculture. Since backbone of India is agriculture therefore it is essential to have such institutions which can work on the prime sector of India in order to give the best to the sector.
